The Sonoran Desert spans roughly 100,000 square miles across Arizona, California, and Mexico, making it one of the most biologically diverse deserts in the world. Its unique bimodal rainfall pattern defines life here: gentle winter rains and powerful summer monsoons. The monsoon season brings sudden thunderstorms, flash floods, and bursts of color as dormant plants awaken. For me, this rhythm shapes both the land and my pottery, where earth and water meet in balance.
